LLOOF Clips
Based on our consultation with volunteers on organic farms we decided to make the LLOOF Learning Guide very visual, practical and easy and quick to use while on a farm. So we have produced a series of short (1- 3 minute) LLOOF video clips and encourage others to produce them.
Over the years this will enable us to build a comprehensive, participative Europe-wide representation of some of the basic activities about which volunteers can learn.
This will be supplements for the learners by background, context, practical activities, as well as links to other resources and practical, on-farm learning opportunities.
Example of a LLOOF videoclip
Catherine Weld (WWOOF Ireland) showed a short 4 minute film associated with her sub-topic of Using and maintaining hand tools. It features a WWOOF host farmer in Ireland, Nick Addey, demonstrating the correct and incorrect use and maintenance of hand tools. This inspired all the partners to focus on the benefits of using a series of short films as the core of the LLOOF Learning Guide, supported by the pdf file with the 11 and more sub-topics with hyperlinks. So we are now encouraging all potential contributors to the LLOOF project to learn more about producing short videoclips and then to contribute to a planned series of videoclips.
